Kiruna (Day 0)
Arrived yesterday afternoon on the day train from Boden. The bus freight company is closed for the weekend so I'm staying in the campground in town, about a kilometer from city center.
Went to services this morning at the Swedish church in town, an impressive all-wooden structure. There I saw a group of young people from the campground. Afterwards I went to the store for a couple items I forgot yesterday only to forget -- apparently -- to actually use the self-scanner till I went to pay and, naturally, couldn't. I suppose the scanner could also have malfunctioned.
I was, perhaps, distracted as I had discovered that the problem I was having with my camera is persisting. Sometimes the shutter is opening, sometimes not.
Otherwise today I took a long nap, awakened in the end by the heat of the sun, which had come out again.
